What we do

Three things, done well.

Most people find us at a hard moment — a garnishment, a closing that has to happen, a claim the insurer won't pay. Here is what that looks like.

Practice area

Bankruptcy

“They're taking money out of my paycheck. Can I stop it?”

  • Chapter 7 — wipe out qualifying debt
  • Chapter 13 — keep the house and the cars
  • Stop foreclosure and repossession
  • End wage garnishment and creditor calls
  • Recover a booted or impounded vehicle
  • Clear older income tax debt
  • Reinstate a suspended driver's license
Practice area

Real Estate Transactions

“There's a problem with the title and we close Friday.”

  • Residential and commercial purchases and sales
  • Distressed and vacant property
  • Tax sales, tax certificates, and tax deeds
  • Bankruptcy and estate liquidations
  • Deeds, TODIs, and transfers between family
  • Title clearance and lien resolution
  • Investor and LLC entity documentation
Practice area

Insurance Claims

“They denied it. Or they paid a fraction of what it costs.”

  • Denied, delayed, and underpaid claims
  • Storm, hail, fire, and water damage
  • Appraisal demands and award enforcement
  • Bad faith and Section 155 vexatious conduct
  • Commercial and multi-unit property losses
  • Disputes with contractors and public adjusters
  • Mechanics lien defense on repair work
Closings without borders

You don't have to be in Chicago.

Sellers move. Heirs live abroad. Investors buy from three time zones away. We close real estate transactions with clients anywhere in the world, and we have done it often enough that it is routine, not an exception.

If you are outside the United States, tell us where you are and what documents you can sign locally. We will build the closing around that.

  • Signing Electronic signature, remote notarization where permitted, or coordination with a consulate or local notary abroad.
  • Meetings Zoom or Google Meet, scheduled around your time zone — including early mornings and weekends.
  • Documents Contracts and closing papers walked through line by line in Spanish before you sign anything.
  • Funds Wire instructions verified directly with the title company. We confirm by phone before a dollar moves.
How we work

What you can expect.

The attorney, directly

No intermediaries and no handoffs. You speak with the lawyer handling your file, from the first call through the last signature.

Fees you know in advance

You get the number before the work starts. If something changes the scope, you hear it from us first — not on an invoice.

Spanish, not interpreted

Your case is discussed with you in Spanish by the people working on it. Court interpreters are arranged when proceedings require them.

Available when you are

Most of our clients work. Appointments happen in the evening, on Saturdays, and by video when getting to Archer Avenue isn't realistic.
